What do we do?

For more years than anyone cares to remember there has been a village store in Backbarrow serving the local villages of the Leven Valley. Of course many years ago the local villages had hives of industry which employed many of the local people. These days villages have become dormitory areas for the larger towns and conurbations.
 
The advent of the supermarket and hypermarket rang the death knell of many local small stores who just can't compete on price.
 
That's why when we decided to bring the local village store back to life we wanted to concentrate on the items and services that would save local residents time, money and effort in sourcing that product or service and then having to travel to buy it or use it.
 
So if there is any thing you would like us to stock please tell us, it may cost you a little bit more, but think of the petrol you will be saving if you can get it locally!
