Services of Remembrance

We shall hold two traditional Services of Remembrance.
 
The first starts at 2.45 pm at St Paul's Church, Rusland, on Sunday 4th November
 
and the second
 
at 3.00 pm at St Anne's Church, Haverthwaite on Sunday 11th November.
 
Of course, members and non members alike are welcome to both of these services.

The A. G. M of the combined branches will be held at Greenodd Village Hall on Friday, 15th November starting at 7.00 pm when all members and, hopefully, potential members, will be welcome.

There is now a single grade of membership, open to ex-service and non ex-service people alike. Annual membership is £11. To find out more contact Robert Hutton on 01229 585888 or fill in the form below and we will call you back.
 
For those who have served, or their dependents, and who are in need of the Legion's help, the Secretary (Robert Hutton 01229 585888) will gladly arrange visiting in the strictest confidence and in liaison with the County Field Office.

The Backbarrow & District Branch with The Crake Valley Sub-branch of The Royal British Legion

The current membership of these branches is the lowest it has been over the last thirty five years and this concerns us greatly. The 2005 National Conference decreed that those who support the aims of the legion, whether they have served in H. M. Forces or not, may now enrol and that there should be now only the one class of membership.
 
The new Legion year starts on 1st October and the annual subscription is £11.00p.
 
Please give serious consideration to joining our ranks and so help us to continue our valuable work in the community.
