A Guided Walk around MEATHOP MOSS - with Robin Eccleston

On Monday, June 30th
Meathop Moss Nature Reserve is one of the best remaining examples of a raised mire. We shall meet at St Peter's Church Car Park at about 10.15 am, moving off at 10.30 am. The walk will finish by 1.00 pm. No dogs, please, and please bring boots or wellingtons. There will be a charge of £3 per person which will be donated to The Cumbria Wildlife Trust. BOOK SWAP

As from September Book Swap will be on the THIRD WEDNESDAY of each month starting on September 17th 10.30 -12 noon.

TALENT TABLE

The "Talent Table" will be back at Book Swap on Wednesday 17th September. We will be very pleased to receive any gifts of the results of your creative talents for sale. Home-made consumables are especially popular. Contact Pat on 31698 for further information.

BOTTLE MORNING

FREE COFFEE
 
Come along to the Finsthwaite & Lakeside Village Hall on Saturday July 5th between 10.30am & 12 noon and have a free cup of coffee, or two if you like. All you need to do is bring us a bottle of something in exchange, a bottle of shampoo or a bottle of champagne it doesn't matter.
It can be a small bottle or a large bottle, it can be plastic or glass, it can be a jar of jam!
 
All the bottles will be used in the tombola at the Coronation Hall Coffee Morning on Thursday July 31st. If anyone feels they could help out on the day we would be very grateful. We also need cakes baking for the cake stall. Please ring Barbara, Julie or Meg if you can help, 30823, 30045, 30092.

Thursday, July 24th Come and join us for a visit to Linda Greening's garden - At Pear Tree Cottage Dalton, Burton-in-Kendal.

There is a vacancy for the appointment of a fourth Trustee on the Board of this local Charity. Proposals are invited for a person who is willing to join the other three Trustees. The new Trustee when appointed must be prepared to stand for five years from the date of their appointment. The Charity is run under the remit set by the Charity Commissioners.
