Keep Fit throughout the Winter

GREAT KNOTT WOOD PAST AND PRESENT

An illustrated talk by Vanessa Champion on Thursday 28th January at 7.30pm in the Finsthwaite and Lakeside Village Hall.
 
Great Knott, which borders Lakeside and Finsthwaite was taken over by the Woodland Trust in 2006 with the intention of restoring and perpetuating its ancient woodland and improving public access. This talk will seek to illuminate some of the wood's busy past, its special features, and progress of the restoration to date. It will be followed up by a guided walk through the wood in early March. There is a vacancy for the appointment of a fourth Trustee on the Board of this local Charity. Proposals are invited for a person who is willing to join the other three Trustees. The new Trustee when appointed must be prepared to stand for five years from the date of their appointment. The Charity is run under the remit set by the Charity Commissioners.
