St Peter's Harvest Supper

will be held in the Village Hall following the Harvest Festival Service which starts at 6.00 pm on Sunday 30th September. All will be welcome. There will be a charge of £5.50 per person.

St Peter's Churchyard Finsthwaite

The volunteers who maintain the churchyard are finding it increasingly difficult to keep it to the standard that they would wish.
 
The weather over this past year has not helped them and thoughtless and ill considered comments and complaints offer no encouragement. Accordingly it has been decided to manage the grass of this large and uneven area by grazing sheep on it for a trial period only.
 
To confine the sheep, much of the churchyard will be fenced off but access to that enclosed part may be gained via the iron gate at the far side.
 
It is hoped to start this experiment at the beginning of November.

Finsthwaite St Peter's Car Park

As a result of litigation elsewhere concerning church property, the PCC have been advised to close the Church Car Park for one whole day each year. Accordingly the car park will be closed for the whole of Tuesday, 1st November 2005.
